It is not uncommon that a better mortgage more suited to your circumstances can be negotiated on your behalf with a lender you may not have dealt with before. The challenge then is to leave your ‘comfort zone’ of your previous lender.
Banks play an interesting game of having you buy as many products off them as possible. These might include a mortgage, credit cards, Kiwisaver, home and contents insurance, life insurance and a personal loan to name a few. This makes customers think that it’s simply too hard to change.
Think again! Firstly you may only have to change your mortgage and house insurance to start with. You can leave your credit card and other services, progressively changing over time should you wish to, or leave them there.
My service looks at your entire circumstances at the time you wish to either take out a new mortgage or re-evaluate your payments and/or loan value. And should the result be that you are better off with a different lender, I can also take any pain out of changing. But it’s entirely your decision. And remember that it’s free to ask for my advice.
