Transport: Please let me know, (text James 021 0586 243) if you need a lift or if you are able to take your own car. Its about two hours each way so I recommend a donation of $20 per person if you are getting a lift.

We need to get away on time, (James and Danny Place 8am from 37 Edmond St Woolston).

Accommodation is a first in first served basis so although it only takes a couple of hours to walk in we want to be there early to ensure a bunk space, in case its busy.

Trout fishing is good in the lake however you will need a fishing license and lake access is not very good

You will need:

Your own food and drink. I recommend freeze dry meals. They are light and easy to cook up.

Any personal medical requirements.

PLEASE NOTE

Essential items to carry

• Water
• Food
• Warm clothing (even on hot days)

Anyone who does not come with the essential items listed above may be excluded from joining us that day.  Thank you for understanding that this is for the safety of all participants.

Highly Recommended items to carry

• Wet weather gear
• Strong and suitable footwear.  Trainers may be suitable on some walks but are often not suitable on mountain walks.

Although we encourage anyone to join in and beginners are certainly welcome, please be aware of the fitness level some walks require. If the word ‘Mt’ is in the title its up a mountain and may not be a good starting walk for beginners or people with lower fitness levels.  If in doubt start with one of our easier walks and work your way up.
