Mike Freeman – Cowdy & Co

I am very excited to be joining the Team at Cowdy and Co. It is a privilege to be joining a Company that has a solid reputation and has been part of the Christchurch landscape for well over 30 years.

I was born in Burwood and have lived all my life in Christchurch. I was educated at Xavier College and I also studied communications via the Lafayette University in Indiana in the USA in the 1980’s.

Prior to coming into real estate in late 2011, I had been involved with running a Tourism Hunting Company for over 20 years.

My background is in Sales and Marketing albeit in promoting Kiwi Safaris New Zealand particularly in the United States, Canada, Russia and the Middle East.

I have travelled extensively throughout the World and my favourite places are Thailand, Canada, particularly British Columbia and also Nevada and South Texas where we have many friends.

In my spare time, I enjoy hunting and fishing, going to the gym, eating out and also I am fond of writing, having had many articles published in different publications in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. In late 2012, I published a book called “Reflections of a Hunter” which details all my travels around the World plus talks about some of my dearest friends.

I am married to Ruth and we have 2 adult children and one grandchild.

I really enjoy working in real estate and a lot of my clients have become very good friends.

I have particular expertise in working through the problems associated with dealing with the likes of EQC and Insurance Companies.
